Redditch Holocaust Memorial Day Service
This year, we marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica with a special talk from survivor Mirsad Solakovic: Author of The Boy Who Said Nothing and survivor of the Bosnian Genocide.
The event also featured a video presentation from Simon Winston BEM: Born in 1938 to a Jewish family in Radzivillov, Poland, Simon is a survivor of the Holocaust in World War 2.
The event was organised by the Chair of the Holocaust Memorial Day Committee, Councilor Bill Hartnett.
