Please read the conditions for Mutual Exchanges below before completing your application, you will be asked to confirm that you have within the application itself
Mutual Exchange Conditions
- The property must be accepted in its present decorative condition.
- The property must be suitable for the needs of the applicant.
- The rent record of both parties to the exchange must be satisfactory and the rent account clear prior to the exchange
- The Council will not be liable for any costs arising from the exchange
The Council may refuse an exchange if
- The accommodation has been built to satisfy a special housing need and the applicant does not have a need for such accommodation.
- It will result in overcrowding
- It will result in a property being under occupied, i.e. too large
No exchange may take place without the agreement of the Council
In completing the application
- I/We declare that the details listed on my/our application are correct and no information has been withheld that would affect this mutual exchange application.
- I/We have read and fully understand the above conditions relating to the proposed exchange
- I/We consent to the information provided being held by Redditch Borough Council, with any supporting documents.
- Any information gathered for the purpose of the mutual exchange can be shared with relevant exchange landlords.
- I/We understand by signing this form we consent to Redditch Borough Council requesting and providing references for all members of the household, in order for the mutual exchange to be undertaken.
