The Epi-Care 3000 is developed to register and alert in case of a tonic-clonic seizure. The electronics incorporated in the sensor identifies a seizure by recognising the distinctive movements. Epi-Care 3000 does not react on normal movements during sleep.

The level of sensitivity and the alarm timer of Epi-Care 3000 can be adjusted according to the users pattern of seizures and the beds specifications.

Epi-Care 3000 is particularly suitable for young children due to its accurate sensor technique. It can even detect vague cramps during sleep, which makes Epi-Care 3000 a safe solution for small children from the age of 2.

The level of sensitivity and the alarm timer can be set up easily and accurately in the menu on the device. The device automatically remembers the selected settings when it is turned on again. The incorporated journal with time and date of the alarms makes it easier to document the development of the number of seizures over a period.

Epi-Care 3000 can be placed beside the bed, and the sensor underneath the mattress

A proven and reliable epilepsy alarm

The Epi-Care 3000 sensor needs to be secured to the mattress and connected via a cord to the Epi-Care base unit that is placed on a bedside table or near the bed.

Through an incorporated test, the device will detect possible errors connected to installation or technical errors that may occur and informs the caretaker. When turning on the device, the test is automatically conducted and will be run on a regular basis even when the device remains on. The alarm has an incorporated pause button that makes it easier to tuck in children without activating false alarms due to movements during sleep.

Epi-Care 3000 is the safe solution when the issue is seizures during sleep, and it has proven its value through many years of experience.

Canary Care

Canary Care GPS Device

Canary is a discrete and unobtrusive system that can provide round the clock reassurance, and alert carers or loved ones if something changes.

  • Has Mum been to the loo yet today?
  • Has Mum made herself a cup of tea?
  • Has she got the heating on?
  • Is Mum moving around less?

It can raise custom alerts to say if something is wrong. Alerts can be via text, email or the Canary app. Wireless sensors are placed around the house to monitor activity and gain useful insights. The information is sent to the Canary Care portal. The sensors are battery powered and the hub uses mobile data to send the information, so no need for a land line or broadband.

Our installers will be able to assess the best places to place the sensors, and what the best factors to measure would be.

Examples of use

Activity

See if Mums been in the kitchen yet this morning, and set a rule to let you know if she hasn't. It could be that she's not feeling too good – a quick call will let you know whether she needs help or not.

Bathroom visits

Frequent night-time bathroom visits could be the norm, or a sign of disturbed sleep that suggests something else isn't right. The portal helps you build up a picture of the normal routine, so you can spot anomalies early.

Visitors

Visitor cards are included with the system and they allow you to see visitors come and go. Canary Care can alert you if someone doesn't arrive when expected, for example a scheduled If you are worried about late night wandering you can set rules to alert you if outside doors are opened between certain hours, or have been left open for too long.

Sleep

See at a glance whether your loved one is sleeping through, or getting up in the night. This kind of information is key when making decisions about when your loved one may need carer support

How Canary Care helps

When you want to keep your independence, asking for help can be a challenge – and offering it can be too.

The Canary Care system helps families make decisions about support at home. It takes away the guesswork, reassuring everyone when things are fine, and flagging where a little extra help wouldn't go amiss.

When you have a relative living alone, the same conversations can start to take over – meals, sleep, medication, care visits. Canary Care shows you at a glance whether everything is OK, leaving you free to enjoy the conversations that matter most.

Canary Care is being used in assessments, helping people coming home from hospital, and supporting independence at home. It helps carers, professionals and families to make better decisions about support based on objective evidence, gathered in a safe, non-intrusive way.
