VCS invited to bid for use of council’s Main Grants pot

Voluntary and community groups are invited to bid for up to £10k of the council’s £100K pot of grant funding for 2025.

Anyone interested in applying can bid for funding from £500 up to £10K, to help with core costs and salaries, or to support them to deliver great community events, projects and activities. 

The programme is in its final year of a previously agreed 3-year programme, with a new programme for 2026/27 onwards to be discussed at a future Executive Committee meeting.

The applications have been broken down into two categories, bundles between £500 and £2,000 and then £2,001 and £10,000. 

The application process opens from 9.00am on Friday 7th February 2025, until 4.00pm on Friday 28th February 2025.

Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Cllr Joe Baker, said: “It’s great that we have been able to continue to support this sector with such substantial grants.”

“As a council we are committed to supporting voluntary community sector organisations to deliver events, projects, and activities that have a positive and beneficial impact on Redditch and its residents.”

There is set criteria in place that anyone wishing to apply must meet. Each proposed project must be needed in the area, well planned, outcome focussed and aligned to the council’s Strategic Purposes.
