Talk To Us And Ease Money Stress
Redditch tenants are being urged to seek help and support before facing financial difficulties following the festive period
The Council’s Rents Team is on hand to speak to people and experienced officers can offer advice including payment plans and budgeting tips.
Using the non-collection weeks can also be used to catch up on arrears, by getting payments in early. The next one is on December 23.
Redditch Borough Council’s Portfolio-holder for Housing Cllr Bill Hartnett said: “Christmas comes with its own financial pressures and it can be more difficult than ever to make ends meet.
“But missing payments can lead to starting the New Year in arrears which can cause stress and anxiety during the festive period.
“We don’t want people to get into financial difficulty and seeking helping early on is vital to stop issues spiralling.”
Council Leader Joe Baker added: “By spending an hour or so with our friendly team can take some of the stress and worry out of Christmas so it can be enjoyed.”
