Offer in place for Dial a Ride & Shopmobility

Residents in Redditch are set to take advantage of an offer for Dial a Ride and Shopmobility services.

Portfolio Holder for Community Services, Cllr. Monica Stringfellow said: “I am delighted that we are in a position to continue to offer this discount to our users. In a cost-of-living crisis every little helps!”

At Monday's full council meeting (Jan 27), members voted in favour a new beneficial offer for users of Dial a Ride and Shopmobility.

The offer means users can sign up for both services for a year for only £22, without the offer each service is £15 to register for, giving users a sizeable saving.

Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Cllr Joe Baker, said: “This is a fantastic offering that we hope lots of residents take advantage of as well as people further afield to help get our Town Centre bustling again.”

“We’ve already reduced the fares and introduced this offer as a fresh start and we will continue to do this for the next financial year!”

Dial a Ride charges for 25/26 will not be increasing and therefore the cost will be £2.50 with a concessionary bus pass.
