Mammoth Programme of Summer Fun
Take a walk on the wild side during the school holidays when dinosaurs are let loose in Redditch as part of the Council’s programme of Summer Fun.
Events kick off on August 1 at Arrow Valley Park with a Glamba Drumming Workshop and on August 2 at Morton Stanley Park with Professor Collywobbles Punch and Judy Show.
Skateboard and Scooter squad sessions will also be held as well as hula hoop workshops at both parks taking place at 12.30pm 1.30pm and 3pm.
On Thursday August 8 there is a Jurassic Valley Dinosaur Takeover in Arrow Valley Park where visitors can meet ‘real’ dinos and dig for fossils.
Redditch Borough Council’s Portfolio-holder for Leisure, Cllr Juliet Barker-Smith, said: “The programme of Summer Fun is absolutely mammoth with something for everyone to enjoy, including myself being very fond of diplodocuses and a triceratops.
“Please help us to spread the word and tell your friends and family so as many people as possible enjoy this Summer fun.”
The full programme is available at redditchbc.gov.uk/summerfun
Council Leader Joe Baker added: “Summer holidays can mean extra pressure for some families, particularly financial. So I am delighted that this fun-filled programme is free and accessible to all.”.
