Launch Of Market Is Sell-Out Success

The launch of a new market in Redditch has been dubbed a ‘resounding success’ by Redditch Borough Council, shoppers and stallholders alike.

Making its return after four years the launch event on Saturday saw nine traders over 15 stalls selling a range of wares from baked items and fruit and veg to leather goods and handmade knitwear.

There was also live music and entertainment including facepainting and stilt walkers.

Redditch Borough Council’s Assistant Director for Regeneration and Property, Rachel Egan, said: “We wanted to create a special event to welcome the market back to our town centre and it was a resounding success with some traders selling out of goods by the afternoon.

“We have had lots of positive feedback already and have more traders on our list ready to take part in future markets.”

The market will be held every Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
