Chapel doors to open for pandemic reflection
Residents are being welcomed to Redditch Crematorium next week to remember loved ones lost during the pandemic.
The chapel at the Bordesley Lane facility will be open to all from 4.30pm until 7pm on Wednesday March 23, which is end-of-life charity Marie Curie’s ‘National Day of Reflection’.
Redditch Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services Cllr Aled Evans said: “If you want to take some time to remember someone we’ve lost on what some are calling the national day of reflection, you will be welcome at Redditch Crematorium where the team is opening up the chapel for the evening.”
Leader of the Council Cllr Matt Dormer said: “Many of us have lost family, friends, or neighbours during the pandemic. Here we will pause together to think about them, to remember them.”
