Brand New Look For Redditch

Last night a fresh new look for Redditch Borough Council, which sets out its commitment to communities, was given the thumbs up.

The new branding, which will be rolled out slowly in a bid to keep costs to the very minimum, uses colours inspired by the Reimagine Redditch palette which were chosen following over 30 workshops in the community.

It picks up the colours of the Kingfisher which is synonymous with Redditch and green to represent the wonderful green open spaces which the Borough boasts.

The logo also celebrates Redditch’s heritage, depicting needles as part of the design and is finished with the strapline “Working Together For Our Communities.’

Redditch Borough Council Leader Cllr Joe Baker said: “We wanted to give Redditch a fresh, modern and bold new look but at the same time didn’t want it to cost our residents.

“We designed it in-house and it will be rolled out across the Borough in a timely fashion, only replacing it on items, like bins, vehicles and signage when they naturally come to the end of their cycle.”

Residents are reassured that they will for a while see both logos across the Borough although items like ID badges and letterheads are on the priority list. If in doubt always contact the Council to double check the caller or letter is genuine.

Cllr Baker added: “We will be publicising the new branding on social media and it will be put on digital letters and platforms immediately.

“We hope that our residents and communities feel that this is their logo and represents our commitment to improving their Redditch as a place in which they are proud to live, work and visit.”

Redditch Borough Council’s Executive Board approved the logo and branding plans at its meeting last night.
