Arrow Valley Lake Levelling Up
Works are being carried out at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre to upgrade facilities to improve customer experience.
Enabling groundworks are currently being completed for the installation of three new kiosks, a replacement ice-cream kiosk, a replacement café, a new food preparation kiosk and a new external WC block.
Following on from the internal refurbishment that was completed previously with Rubicon, the site has become busier and certain areas can become overwhelmed.
Therefore, Rubicon want to increase the number of events, and the upgrades will help attract more customers to site as well as improving customer experience.
In addition, there is also a contract in place for the replacement of the current jetty, this will enable Rubicon to increase their current water activity provisions.
Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Cllr. Juliet Barker-Smith said: “We are very pleased to be investing money to help to fund one of our most important local landmarks.”
“Upgrading facilities at the Boathouse will benefit our residents and boost our economy, encouraging more people to spend a day out at the Arrow Valley Lake.”
The work is expected to be finished and ready to welcome back customers in full capacity in the Spring.
