What is a Local Strategic Partnership?
A Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is a single body that brings together different parts of the public, private, business, community, and voluntary sector to work together in one locality (usually the local authority defined area) to improve the quality of life for people in that area.
They provide an overarching co-ordination role in ensuring that resources are better allocated at the local level. They are responsible for developing and implementing the local strategy for their area, the Sustainable Community Strategy.
Local Strategic Partnerships are non-statutory in nature.
