Consultation on Draft Street Trading Policy

To carry on street trading activities in the Council’s area, you require the consent of the Council.

The Council’s Street Trading Policy sets out:

  • How people can apply for a street trading consent
  • How applications for street trading consents are advertised and consulted on
  • The key considerations that will be taken into account when deciding whether to grant a street trading consent
  • The standard conditions that will be attached to a street trading consent
  • The Council’s approach to complaints and enforcement

The Council is currently carrying out a consultation exercise in relation to a draft revised version of its Street Trading Policy.

As part of this consultation exercise, the Council would welcome responses to the survey that can be found here: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/RBCSTP/

It will assist you greatly in responding to the consultation survey if you can read the relevant paragraphs of the draft policy before answering the questions asked.

A copy of the draft policy can be found here: Draft Revised Street Trading Policy (RBC)

The consultation survey will remain open for responses until Friday 30th October 2024.
