You need a licence from us to carry on certain activities involving animals

You need a licence to keep certain wild animals as pets

If you run a business that displays animals to the public for more than seven days in a twelve month period, you will need to apply for a Zoo Licence.

Keepers of primates must be licensed and only those able to provide zoo-level welfare standards will be able to keep primates.
